CHRISTIANE DÖCKER
MEZZOSOPRAN

Since the 2018/19 season, the mezzo-soprano has been a member of the ensemble at the OPER LEIPZIG, where she has performed as Hänsel in "Knusper, Knusper Knäuschen", Mercédès in "Carmen", Wowkle in "La fanciulla del West", Flora in "La Traviata". , Giannetta in "Elisir d'amore" directed by Rolando Villazón and as Rossweiße in "Die Walküre", among others. In the 2021/22 season she will also make her debut as 1st Norn in "Götterdämmerung", Flower Girl in "Parsifal" and Tisbe in "La Cenerentola". Most recently, Christiane Döcker returned as Frau Dr. Auer in the premiere of GF Haas' opera "Koma" at the STADTTHEATER KLAGENFURT with a guest performance at the​ OPÈRA DE DIJON back. Unfortunately, the revival of "Koma" at the VLAAMSE OPERA in Antwerp and Ghent could not be realized due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

​ In the summer of 2018, the Lower Austrian performed Flora in Verdi's "La Traviata" at the OPER KLOSTERNEUBURG. During her studies, the young singer was engaged at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt, where she has appeared on stage as the 3rd lady, Hippolyta, Mercédès, the page of Herodias and as Emilia in Verdi's "Otello". In 2013 she made her debut as part of the Young Singers Project at the SALZBURGER FESTIVAL in Richard Wagner's "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg". Before that, she gained her first stage experience as the 3rd lady at the Klosterneuburg Opera.

Christiane Döcker was equally active in the concert field in Beethoven's IX. Symphony under Thomas Rösner and the Sinfonietta Baden. In the course of her diploma examination, she interpreted Mahler's "Das Lied von der Erde" for chamber orchestra in the Musikverein in Vienna and was last with the chamber orchestra Waidhofen and​ the​ Experience the Upper Mostviertel Philharmonic. Christiane Döcker also has a special passion for church music, where she has been able to develop a broad repertoire and can be heard regularly in the Augustinian Church in Vienna, among other places.

Christiane Döcker first studied music education/Italian (Mag. 2015) in Vienna. In addition, she completed her bachelor's degree in singing education in 2014 with distinction  In 2017 he completed his master's degree in song and oratorio with Margit Klaushofer and Charles Spencer. She owes further impulses to master classes with Christa Ludwig, Angelika Kirchschlager, Brigitte Fassbaender and Helmut Deutsch. Jeanette Favaro-Reuter is currently responsible for her vocals.
