Christiane Döcker most recently returned to STADTTHEATER KLAGENFURT in the season 23/24 and made her debut as 2nd Norn and Flosshilde (Wagner: Die Götterdämmerung) under the baton of Nicholas Milton. In addition, the mezzo-soprano will make her debut as Cherubino (Mozart: Le Nozze di Figaro) with the JERUSALEM SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. In January 2024 there will also be a revival of Die Fledermaus in Israel, where she sang Prinz Orlovsky last season.

 

On the concert stage she  recently performed Bach's Weihnachtsoratorium with the Kammerorchester Waidhofen. In November she will sing the alto part in Mendelssohn's Elias with the GRAZER KEPLERSPATZEN.

Before, Christiane Döcker joined the ensemble at OPER LEIPZIG for four years, where she sang 1st Norn (Wagner: Die Götterdämmerung), Blumenmädchen (Wagner: Parsifal), Mercédès (Bizet: Carmen), Flora (Verdi: La Traviata), Rossweiße (Wagner:  Die Walküre), Tisbe (Rossini: La Cenerentola) and more.

Another highlight was her interpretation of Marie in the world premiere of Gerd Kühr's opera Paradiese. Christiane Döcker is also regular guest at STADTTHEATER KLAGENFURT, where she has so far appeared as 3. Dame (Mozart: Die Zauberflöte), Emilia (Verdi: Otello), Page der Herodias (Strauss: Salome), Hippolyta (Britten: Midsummer Night's Dream) and Dr Auer in the world premiere of Koma (Georg Friedrich Haas). She made her debut with the latter role at the OPÉRA DE DIJON in 2019. A planned revival at the VLAAMSE OPERA could unfortunately not be realised due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the OPER KLOSTERNEUBURG she embodied the Dritte Dame and most recently, in 2018, the role of Flora. As a participant in the Young Singers Project in 2013, she appeared at the SALZBURG FESTIVAL as Lehrbube (Wagner: Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg).

Döcker war born in Austria and studied Lied & Oratorium, Gesangspädagogik and Musikerziehung & Italienisch at the University of Music and performing arts Vienna.
